These infrastructures, whether in the field of transport, energy supply, water and waste disposal or communication, are subject to a constant process of change, adaptation and renewal. Mobility does not follow a law of nature, it is a process to be designed. With the transition to a post-fossil mobility culture, the decisive factor for the future of cities will be whether we organize the scarce resources of energy, space and time in such a way that we can simultaneously design livable and sustainable urban development.
