Since their first visit to the Wettenhausen Monastery, the two designers Verena Mueller and Manfred Gaida have been deeply touched by the beauty and spirituality of this special place. Against the backdrop of the upcoming change of use, they developed the idea of photographically documenting the Wettenhausen monastery in its current state and portraying the Dominican sisters living there in photographs and conversational texts. The interviews with the sisters provide a touching insight into their respective life stories and allow us to share in their inspiring philosophies of life.
\nIn addition to the representative rooms of the convent, this illustrated book also shows architectural photographs of those rooms that are not accessible to the public. Loving details in the pictures tell of the stories in the monastery.
\nVerena Mueller and Manfred Gaida make the spirituality of these extraordinary rooms tangible in their aesthetic black-and-white photographs. They take us on a visual journey of discovery through the monastery and show in their pictures many rooms of the monastery, which as “places of contemplation” inspire meditative contemplation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
