The photographs from the series Ready Places Berlin show Berlin locations that are mostly familiar, but are perceived differently in everyday life than in the images taken by Maximilian Meisse. Associations with distant places arise: The Ged\u00e4chtniskirche (Memorial Church) becomes a skyscraper, the Charit\u00e9’s bed high-rise seems to be located at Central Park, the Funkturm (Radio Tower) and the BfA high-rise rise from green treetops, the demolished Deutschlandhalle (German Hall) reminds us of countries where war is raging. The Villa von der Heydt and the Casino in Glienicke could have been taken in Italy, and the Friedrichstadtpalast on Broadway.
