BB 2070 – Magazin für Städtebau und urbanes Leben, Nr. 6

Number 6 of BB 2070 is dedicated to the topic “Future”. It contains the urban development manifesto for Berlin-Brandenburg, which the “Architekten- und Ingenieurverein zu Berlin-Brandenburg, AIV” (Association of Architects and Engineers of Berlin-Brandenburg) has launched together with partners under the title “Unvollendete Metropole” (Unfinished Metropolis). This time, 33 scientists, architects, urban developers, writers and politicians write about their ideas, proposals and opinions on the topic of “Shaping the Future” for the magazine, including Monika Grütters, David Wagner, Bettina Jarasch, Wolf D. Eisentraut, Vittorio Magnano Lampugnani, Thomas Ostermeier, Katrin Lompscher, Hans Stimmann, Arno Lederer, Frank Nägele, Bernhard Schulz, Anne Katrin Bohle, Jörg Steinbach and Engelbert Lütke Daldrup. What the different temperaments have in common is their commitment to change and new beginnings in Berlin and Brandenburg and beyond. Three large photo spreads make the magazine a visual experience as well. “BB2070” presents the photo diary of Andreas Rost, whose black-and-white images show the deserted urban space of Berlin in pandemic times. And it publishes two photo essays by Jonathan Schmalöer that present the urban spaces of Schwedt an der Oder and to Brandenburg an der Havel in an unseen way.
