Even as a teenager, he was interested in art and architecture. Out of this interest, he took architecture courses in New York City even before his studies and learned classical drawing in Florence. He gained his first work experience with Murphy/Jahn (Chicago) and Renzo Piano (Genoa). In 2019, his architectural practice caspar emerged from the office partnership meyerschmitzmorkramer, founded in 2004. Caspar Schmitz-Morkramer's work has been recognized with numerous prizes and awards. Among them the double award for the project Abbey Michaelsberg with the prestigious MIPIM Awards.
