The “Ausgrabungen zu Olympia” were published in 1875 “im Auftrage der Deutschen Reichs-Regierung von der Ausgrabungs-Direction unter Leitung des Herren E. Curtius” (on behalf of the German Reich Government by the Department of Excavations directed by Herr E. Curtius). The close collaboration with the German Archeological Institute continues today with the publication of the “Archäologischer Anzeiger”

as well as diverse magazines and periodicals like the Istanbuler Mitteilungen, Istanbuler Forschungen, Epigraphische Forschungen auf der Arabischen Halbinsel, Iberia Archaeologica. The Sylloge Numorum Arabicorum from the department for Oriental and Islamic Studies in the University of Tübingen is also published by WASMUTH. But other cultural areas like Egypt and the Sudan, Africa, the Near and Middle East, Russia, India, Southeast Asia, China, and South America are also very much in the WASMUTH fields of interest.
