Die Zweihundert Bücher zur Architektur.

The texts collected in this book are intended as a contribution to a discipline called "architectural theory". This means nothing other than concentrated "thinking about architecture", i.e. reflection on what used to be called "Baukunst" and its essence. In the present case it is a book about architecture without "pictures". It provides only two hundred formal "thought pictures", compressed thoughts or thought figures about architecture, and twenty-five poetically open "space pictures", grouped as a constellation around an invisible core: that of the profession.
